Don't believe the advertised cost of cheap website design
The other day I stumbled across a website design company who was offering websites at £200.00 (plus VAT) for 10 pages. I thought, my god that's cheap, so I rang them up to find out more.
The Sales Executive from the company delighted in telling me how the price was a 'hook to reel in' clients and that the contract would be £200.00 (plus VAT) for every year thereafter also. Then the Sales Executive then delighted in telling me how they would then pitch a more advanced package to the customer for year two thus tieing the customer in to a higher contract for the rest of their websites' life.
This then made the cost of the website appear to be very expensive even though the initial cost would appear to be quite cheap.
The moral to this story is - 'You get wat you pay for!'
If you want to go cheap it will, at some point, cost you more than if you used a more professional service to design your website for you.
